VHB Thinline Baritone is the first 27″ scale model of T.Family collection. In every way it´s been a great honour to make this special instrument for Mikko Von Hertzen who is the leader vocalist of Von Hertzen Brothers.
This guitar inspires me to create totally new music..
– Mikko Von Hertzen
Like the name tells it, as a contruction this instument is very rare combination of semi-hollow “Thinline” and baritone guitars. There’s no many on the market in this genre. The scale of 27″ is optimum if you want to have versatile low-tuning guitar. And still feeling and working as guitar, not like short scale bass. Mikko uses Drop-A tuning with 10-70 strings. Pickups on this one are mere by me and idea is to search the sound and feel of old Widerange pickups but make in size of normal Humbucker.
I’m also very happy and excited to join the VHB Crew for summer tour 2018 as a Guitar tech. It’s gonna be fun!
